What We Do
The Nadine Andreas Residential Foster Home
Currently home to ten children aged between 6 and 17 years old, our Foster Home is designed to provide a family friendly atmosphere whereby children and teenagers are treated with basic principles of acceptance, respect, empathy, trust, kindness, safety and belonging. This is modelled and encouraged in day-to-day living.
The Ministry of Community Affairs, Gender & Housing contributes a monthly fee which assists with some of the costs; and the remainder is funded through donations and other fundraising initiatives.
Every child has the right to be treated kindly, to feel safe, and not be forgotten; the right to learn, play, and have fun. Since 1992, The Nadine Andreas Residential Foster Home has been just that for all the boys and girls who have called our home theirs.
Miss Nadine’s Preschool and Jack & Jill Nursery
Our Preschool and Nursery provides subsidised education for children between the ages of 2 and 5 years and infant childcare for children between the ages of 3 months and 2 years. We support and provide nutritious meals to some of the most in-need families in Cayman. We are registered with, and inspected by, the Ministry of Education.
We take pride in our high-quality early childhood educational programmes. We ensure our classrooms feel joyful and friendly while maintaining low student-to-teacher ratios to ensure all our little ones receive individual attention. Our classrooms contain clear focus areas called centers which offer a variety of activities for children.
We understand that young children learn through play - it is their work, and each class schedule includes playtime both indoors and outdoors, as well as daily hands-on activities.
Our teachers and support staff are there to guide academic growth, model classroom behavior and offer our children tools for dealing with strong feelings. We ensure our classrooms and playground environment are withheld to the highest safety standards.
Miss Nadine’s Preschool and Jack and Jill Nursery need your donations. With our fees only amounting to about half of our cost, it is YOU that will help us continue on our path to providing the best quality early childhood programme possible.

Miss Olive’s Community Pantry
Named after our co-founder Miss Olive Miller, our community pantry is designed to provide low-income and at-risk families, who are facing food insecurity, non-perishables and other essential items. At the NCVO, we recognize how important proper nutrition and selfcare is to a child’s development and we aim to help tackle this problem through Miss Olive’s Community Pantry.
Our pantry is located within the NCVO main office and is accessible for registered users during office hours, providing a no-cost, and much needed food and toiletries resource.
