During 2015, five children attended Karate classes twice a week. All residents visited King’s gym for skating and bowling. Residents also had excursions to the Hollywood Cinema at Camana Bay and took part in outdoor Camana Bay activities such as Movies Under the Stars. They also enjoyed visiting “The Island” at Camana Bay and playing in the fountain. All of the children in our care are members of sports teams including Special Olympics Swimming & Basketball, Football, Track and Cricket. Two residents attended Praise Dance Club at church. In addition, one resident attended a science club afterschool, and another Gardening club. Volunteers provided cooking classes for all residents. Residents participated in taking care of the Greenhouse at the Foster Home, harvesting vegetables and herbs and preparing meals with the food they grew. These enriching activities enabled all of the children in our care to have access to healthy and wholesome out of school activities and to be involved in Clubs and Sports that developed their individual skills and interests.
